Toy Drop

This is only the second item I've made for the Toy Society, but I'm trying to do better.

I made a bird with Valentine's fabric so I wanted to be sure to drop it before Valentine's Day.

I actually made the drop on Friday (sounds kind of covert op, doesn't it?)

The bulk of his body is made with a black/pink/white print. and his belly is pink with white polka dots.

See, his back says LOVE (and I even did that on purpose. LOL)

I've actually gotten a few things finished lately but I keep forgetting to take pictures.

I'll blame the forgetfulness on the kids. That works, right?

My first drop

I made a little stuffed owl for my first toy for The Toy Society.

At least an owl was my intention. I didn't have any pattern and was just playing with some scrap material and that's what I came up with. The kids said it was an owl right away so I felt better about it.

Anyway, I dropped him off at the local library this morning. I hope he finds a good home.

Of course, now the kids each want me to make one for them too.

If you haven't checked out The Toy Society's blog you really should. It's such a neat idea.
